Air Force Airman Travis W. Bell, son of Joe. R. Bell of Newport

Beach and Robin J. Dodson of Garden Grove, recently graduated from

the ground radio communications equipment apprentice course at

Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Miss. Bell learned how to use a

variety of communications equipment. He is a 1998 graduate of Calvary

Chapel High School ... Daniel Quinlan, son of Francis and Margaret

Quinlan of Corona del Mar, recently qualified as a National Merit

Scholarship finalist as a student at Phillips Academy in Andover,

Mass. ... Peter Jackson, son of Kurt and Nancy Jackson of Costa Mesa,

was recently named as an All-American Scholar by the United States

Achievement Academy. Jackson is a student at Ensign Intermediate

School ... Trish Spires, office coordinator for Orange Coast

College’s mathematics and sciences division, was recently honored as

the classified staff member of the year for the 2003-04 academic year
