Lisa Faulkner transferred to Vanguard University this fall from UC

Irvine where she played point guard on the women’s basketball team

for two seasons and holds UCI’s school record for assists and was

honorable mention to the All-Big West Team as a sophomore. She is the

new floor leader, team captain and one of the best point guards in

the NAIA. She has superior ball handling and passing skills, will

give opponents’ defense fits and could be a candidate for GSAC Player

of the Year. Two years of NCAA Division I experience will make her a

prime candidate to lead the Lions back to the NAIA Final Four. She

transferred to Vanguard because of the Christian atmosphere and likes

that it only takes two minutes to walk to class.
