Gaytan-Leach repeats

Corona del Mar resident Cierra Gaytan-Leach and partner Catherine

Isip won their fourth tennis title together when they clinched the

girls 12s doubles crown with a 4-6, 7-6 (8-6), 10-8 victory over

Jordan Sanford and Brittany Sanders in a United States Tennis

Association national open Wednesday at the Upland Tennis Club in

Upland.

Gaytan-Leach, who won this tournament with a different partner a

year ago, and Isip, the top-seeded duo, trailed, 3-6, in the

second-set tiebreaker, but rallied to force a 10-point super

tiebreaker against the second-seeded tandem.

Gaytan-Leach, ranked 46th nationally in girls 12 singles, and Isip

won a Southern California Tennis Association girls 12s championship in November and will enter the girls 18s doubles division in June’s

SCTA junior sectional championships.
