The Lido Junior Sailing Foundation will sponsor an Orange County

youth from 15 to 18 years of age to set sail in mid-June on a

2,500-mile voyage from Newport Beach to Hawaii aboard the American

The Newport Harbor Nautical Museum will host an exhibit of 40

maritime paintings by Caleb Whitbeck. The exhibit will include three

classic local yachts, the Curlew, Ticonderoga and the Sea Drift. The

event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sept. 12 at the Newport

Harbor Nautical Museum, 151 E. Coast Highway, Newport Beach.

Catalina Passenger Service runs 45-minute harbor cruises (adults,
