Heisman winner will host tourney

Pelican Hill Golf Club in Newport Coast will be the site for the

Carson Palmer Open, benefiting Hillview Acres Children’s Home, June

28.

Palmer, the 2003 Heisman Trophy winner who attended USC and is a

quarterback for the National Football League’s Cincinnati Bengals,

will host the event, which will raise money for Hillview Acres, a

residential treatment center offering programs for young victims of

severe abuse and neglect ranging in age from 6-16.

Cost per foursome is $3,000 and includes dinner, prizes,

participation in on-course contests and four tickets to a

pre-tournament party June 27 at the Sutra Lounge in Costa Mesa.

Individual tickets to the dinner cost $100.
