Avalanche slides past Sabers in 6-2 victory

Andrew Wade burned the net for four goals to lead the Avalanche past

the Sabers, 6-2, in a Wales Division match at Coast 2 Coast Inline

Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Wade also assisted another goal, one of two scored by Andrew

Thomason.

Thomason also assisted one of Wade’s goals.

David Johnson picked up an assist and Jim Martin recorded 26

saves.

Cameron Marino scored both goals for the Sabers and Destiny Mills

had an assist.

Jacob Renaud had 15 saves.

In other Wales Division games:

Extreme 6, Thunder 3

The Extreme scored five goals over the final two periods to pull

away from the Thunder.

Chris Eaton scored twice and had an assist to lead the Extreme.

Single goals went to Jonathan Combest, Jacob Folsom, Kyle Betz and

Dean Neugebauer.

Eaton, Betz, Brett Webber, Eric Jones and Kevin Lassen each had an

assist and Anthony Ellis finished with 27 saves.

Kyle Evans, Timothy Hunt and Sean Riemer each scored for the

Thunder, William DeWitt had an assist and Matthew Duran had 26 saves.

Chaos 4, Phantoms 3

Casey Childers and John Albert each scored twice as the Chaos

shaded the Phantoms.

Scott Cassidy assisted three goals and Carey Warner and Ian Gipson

each were credited with an assist.

Drake Dwyer had 17 saves.

Ryan Gallegos led the Phantoms with two goals, Michael O’Connell

scored once and Justin Pederson had an assist.

Spiders 4, Blind 4

Neither team could score in an overtime shootout and ended their

match in a tie.

Eric Freese scored twice, Stephen Tockey had a goal and pair of

assists, Joshua Walker scored once, Jarrod Zea had an assist and

Collin Monge had 19 saves.

Kevin Cant scored twice and had two assists, Brett Shaver scored

twice and assisted one goal, Troy Bundy had an assist and Corey

DeMatteo recorded 14 saves for the Blind.
