Extreme rallies to 7-5 victory

The Extreme scored five goals in the final period to wipe out a

three-goal deficit and rally for a 7-5 victory over the Good Team in

a Wales Division clash at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in

Huntington Beach.

Two goals by Kyle Betz and one each by Craig Landon, Jonathan

Combest and Kevin Lassen in the final period lifted the Extreme out

of a 5-2 hole.

Combest scored three goals, overall, to lead the Extreme.

Lassen finished with three assists, Betz had one and Anthony Ellis

recorded 17 saves.

In other Wales Division games:

Spiders 6, Thunder 4

Andrew Skowron produced three goals and an assist as the Spiders

crept past the Thunder.

Stephen Tockey scored twice and had one assist, Eric Freese scored

once with two assists, Blake Jirges had two assists, and Duke Rogers

had one assist.

Collin Monge finished with 17 saves.

Timothy Hunt scored twice, Kyle Evans had a goal and two assists,

Sean Riemer scored once, C.J. Coshow had an assist and Matthew Duran

had 23 saves.

Sabers 6, Predators 4

Cameron Marino posted three goals and assisted a fourth to lead

the Sabers.

Travis Morse scored twice and Destiny Mills scored once, with

Brandon Corral and Evan Zinger each getting a pair of assists, and

Brooke Easton got one assist.

Jacob Renaud had 17 saves.

Austin Heinz’s two goals paced a Predators attack that saw Ian

Livesay score once with an assist, John Sacco score once, and Justin

Bracamontes get an assist.

Zack Porter finished with 23 saves.

Avalanche 5, Phantoms 2

The Avalanche came up with four goals in the final period to

overtake the Phantoms.

Andrew Wade led the scoring with two goals and an assist. Andrew

Thomason scored once with an assist, Lauren Martin and Justin Cotham

each scored once and Cory Kronebusch had an assist.

Jim Martin had 18 saves.

For the Phantoms, Michael O’Connell and Hunter Schmidt each

scored, and Mike Ambrose had an assist.
