NEWPORT BEACH: Skyhawks Basketball Camp provides a noncompetitive

environment for kids to learn the basic skills of the game.

Participants will learn techniques for passing, dribbling and

shooting. Campers should bring water, lunch and a snack, and will

receive a basketball and a T-shirt. Ages invited are 5 to 12 years

NEWPORT BEACH: BeachSports Summer Beach Camp includes instruction

NEWPORT BEACH: Cheerleading camp by All-American Cheer provides a

fun, action-packed environment to learn cheers, chants, motions and

successfully mastering the necessary skills of rock climbing. ClimbX

COSTA MESA: Clay ‘n Paint Sculpture for Kids lets kids explore

their creative potential in this hands-on painting and sculpting

class. Students need to bring a shoebox and wear a smock or cover-up

3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and run July 23 through Aug. 13, or Mondays, 3:30

COSTA MESA: Parent and Me Infant/Toddler Play is a participation

class that enhances parent/child and child/child relationships.

Singing, making music and stimulating motor skills are some of the

activities involved. Ages invited are 10 months to 4 years. Classes

are Tuesdays, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. (for 10-month- to 2-year-olds) and

10:30 to 11:45 a.m. (for 2- to 4-year-olds), and runs from July 27 to

Aug. 24. The cost is $31 (younger kids) and $34 (older kids), plus a

$3 materials fee.

NEWPORT BEACH: Terie’s Toddler and Infant Program is a

parent/child participation course designed to improve and develop

motor, strength, flexibility, language, rhythm, play and social

skills. Parents must attend with their children and should bring a

towel. Ages invited are 6 weeks to 3 years old. Classes begin June 29

through July 1 and end July 27 through July 29. The cost ranges from

$50 to $70 plus a $5 (for infants) or $10 (for others) materials fee.

includes class activities like story time, puppets, music, dance,
