Madonna and her eight kittens are part of over 70 hand-raised,

rescued kittens available for adoption this Fourth of July weekend at

Russo’s Pet Experience in Fashion Island and at Russo’s Spectrum Pets

at the Irvine Spectrum.

The Fashion Island adoption desk has been swarming with anxious

new pet parents getting to know their chosen kitten by talking to the

people who raised them. The mandatory “feline pet-parenting class”

prepares families to provide the customary care and educates them on

the latest vaccine protocol suggested by the American Association of

Feline Practitioners. The new protocol suggests that vaccinations

should be based on the cat’s individual risk of exposure and that

every cat doesn’t need every vaccine annually.

Kitten Friday Nights at Russo’s Fashion Island have also been

added throughout the summer. Foster families are still needed to care

for rescued kittens. Donations are still being accepted for

nine-week-old kittens Riesling and Daisy.
