Water polo camp presses on

A water polo camp for local youngsters is running weekly at Golden

West College through Aug. 1.

The camp is open to all students entering grades two through eight

for the 2004-’05 school year. Instruction takes place 5 to 7 p.m.

each Monday and from 5:45 to 7:30 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday.

Rock climbing camps coming

ClimbX in Huntington Beach is offering several upcoming rock

climbing summer camps. The camps run from 9 a.m. to noon each day,

and the cost is $90 per session.

Upcoming camp dates are as follows:

Camp 2: July 9, 11

Camp 3: July 21, 23, 25

Camp 4: Aug. 4, 6, 8

Camp 5: Aug. 18, 20, 22

Pop Warner Football taking signups

Local youngsters interested in joining Huntington Beach Pop Warner

Football can still register.

The program still has teams available to youngsters ages 7 through

12. Pop Warner Football teams stress fundamentals and competitiveness

with no tryouts and each child plays in every game.

Football camp begins July 19

Local youngsters will have the opportunity to learn the basic

skills of football at the Fundamental Football Camp conducted by

Nike/West Football Camp.

The camp will run July 19 to 22 at Edison High. The cost per

camper is $175 and includes a Nike Dri-fit shirt.

The camp will be staffed by former NFL players at each position.

Pop Warner Football and Jr. All-American Football players are

encouraged to register. Space is limited.
