McDonald House awards scholarships

The Ronald McDonald House Charities awarded 150 $1,000 college

scholarships to Latino high school students across Southern

California, including students from Costa Mesa, Sage Hill and Newport

The scholarships, which are part of the Hispanic American

Commitment to Educational Resources program in the Ronald McDonald

point average, letters of recommendation, financial need and

community involvement.

Local McDonald’s owner/operators conferred the awards Friday at

the 15th annual awards luncheon in Newport Beach.
