missing the cut by just two strokes in 1986 and four shots in 1989.
Competed for six years on mini tours during the ‘80s, including
stints on the Asian and European tours. Shot 69-74 -- 143 to qualify
for match play at last year’s U.S. Amateur championship at historic
Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pa. His performance at Oakmont
earned DuBois an exemption into the British Amateur, held at St.
Andrews in June. DuBois shot 71-73 -- 144, missing match play by one
stroke. Played college golf at Arizona State University and won the
Arizona state amateur title in 1980.
