Nina Ho, a senior at Edison High School, was one of 96 high school

seniors in the country selected to attend Girls Nation 2004, a

convention organized by the American Legion Auxiliary. Young women

attending the weeklong event, scheduled to begin on Saturday, will

stay in Chevy Chase, Md., and study the workings of the federal

government. At the convention, girls will hold mock hearings on bills

and tour national monuments including Capitol Hill, Arlington

National Cemetery and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
