Riptide rolls past Thrashers in 8-2 victory
The Riptide rolled out to a four-goal lead in the first period and
took it from there to defeat the Thrashers 8-2 in a Howe Division
match at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Zachary Jezulin netted three goals to lead all scorers. Taylor
Bargar scored twice, Ryan Schlerf scored once and assisted on four
other goals, Zac Zomaya scored once and had three assists, Trevor
Jackson scored once and Chad Loughran had an assist.
Nicholas Jezulin had 25 saves.
The Thrashers’ scoring came from Trevor Clark and David Mastro.
Andrew Skowron had 17 saves in goal.
In other Howe Division matches:
Vipers 5, Hawks 2
Trevor Dunbar scored his team’s first and last goals and scored
three overall to lead the Vipers.
Cheyne Taylor and Dylan Furr also scored, Billy Gomez had a pair
of assists and Garrett Blackwell had one assist for the Vipers.
David Stone recorded 19 saves in the victory.
Pythons 7, Bulldogs 4
Nick Evans and Brandon Drochner each scored twice to lead the
Pythons on offense.
Single goals were recorded by Jared Novakovitch, Rinald Hancock
and Gregory Hancock. Rinald Hancock also had two assists and
Novakovitch and Trevor Whitecotton also had an assist each. Casey
Childers had 13 saves to get the win.
Trevor Geery, Brad Giczewski and Skyler Shook each had a goal and
an assist, Travis Bertrand scored once and Tyler O’Donnell finished
with 22 saves for the Bulldogs.
