* North Coast Highway: A woman reported that another woman pushed
her and threatened to beat her head in the 100 block at 2:22 a.m.
TUESDAY
* North Coast Highway: After a traffic stop, police reportedly
found a 17-year-old boy in possession of an open container of alcohol
and another person in possession of marijuana in the 100 block at
1:07 a.m.
* Ocean Avenue: Grand theft was reported when police received a
call that sunglasses were stolen from a store in the 200 block at
6:46 p.m.
MONDAY
* Castle Rock Road: Identity theft was reported when a woman told
police a Massachusetts credit account had ben set up in her name in
the 100 block at 2:42 p.m.
* Cleo Street: A Tustin man was arrested on suspicion of petty
theft and battery in the 200 block at 5:55 p.m. He was reportedly
detained by a cashier and another worker after he was caught
shoplifting. He allegedly hit one of the employees and ran out of the
store before being caught by police.
* Main Beach: A Santa Ana man was arrested on warrants for traffic
violations after police investigated a report that a man was hanging
around the women’s restrooms in the 200 block at 3:50 p.m.
* Main Beach: A man was reportedly yelling at passersby in the 100
block at 11:36 p.m.
* Monterey Drive: Two plumeria plants valued at $1,500 were
reportedly destroyed in the 31300 block at 11:57 a.m.
* South Coast Highway: A 1999 Honda Passport was reported stolen
in the 1400 block at 8:03 a.m.
* South Coast Highway: Juveniles were reportedly pouring gasoline
on a bonfire in the 31100 block at 10:08 p.m.
* South Coast Highway and Legion Street: A man reported a bike
that he borrowed from a friend was stolen overnight at 3:07 p.m.
SUNDAY
* Cliff Drive and Myrtle Street: A Lake Forest man was arrested on
suspicion of possession of a controlled substance at 1:11 a.m.
* Coral Drive: A man reported a patient at a rehab center
threatened to kill him with a butcher knife in the 1400 block at 1:46
p.m.
* Cozumel Court: A burglary attempt was reported when police
received a call that a bedroom window was found broken in the 100
block at 6:02 p.m.
* Laguna Canyon Road: A man reportedly threw a bowl of soup at a
security guard in the 900 block at 9:31 p.m.
* Ocean Avenue: A woman reported a man in his 60s grabbed her arm
and asked her to have fun with him in the 200 block at 8:59 a.m. He
allegedly followed her to a bar before finally leaving her alone.
* Three Arch Bay Beach: Police issued three citations to friends
who were reportedly fighting with one another in the 20 block at 7:26
p.m.
SATURDAY
* Broadway: Major vandalism was reported in the restroom near the
bus depot in the 300 block at 6:27 a.m.
* Reed Street: A woman reported someone broke into her car
overnight and tried to remove her steering lock in the 500 block at
1:03 p.m.
* South Coast Highway: A woman was reportedly sunbathing in the
nude in the 31400 block at 2:58 p.m.
* South Coast Highway and Thalia Street: A man was transferred to
Border Patrol custody after he was arrested on suspicion of unlawful
entry into the United States at 9:06 a.m.
* South Coast Highway and Thalia Street: A man was reportedly
“weirding out” by talking to himself and behaving in a bizarre manner
at 9:09 a.m. Saturday.
* South Coast Highway and Wesley Drive: An injury traffic
collision was reported at 10:29 a.m.
JULY 16
* Laguna Canyon Road: A man reported he found a dead crow in
Fullerton that he brought home so he could use the feathers for an
art project in the 2500 block at 1:19 p.m. He called police because
he was worried the bird could have been infected with the West Nile
virus and he wanted to warn the city of Fullerton.
* Main Beach: Police received a report that a man was passed out
in the women’s bathroom in the 100 block at 8:58 a.m.
* Myrtle Street: A woman reported her dog stolen on Thursday in
the 400 block at 4:57 p.m.
* Virginia Way: A man reported that someone caused permanent
damage to his property by using a garden hose to flood his garage in
the 31900 block at 9:31 a.m.
