Amateurs can tee up

for Volkswagen drive

Golf amateurs can take a swing at a 2005 pro-am tournament during

the qualifying round at the Volkswagen Drivers Cup golf tournament

today at Pelican Hill Golf Club.

Volkswagen will host the event, where golfers can try to qualify

for the Volkswagen Masters to be held in South Africa next year, or

they can take the new Volkswagen Phaeton or Touareg for a test drive

on a course set by professional driver Jeff Andretti.

The Volkswagen Drivers Cup will begin at 1 p.m. today at Pelican

Hill Golf Club, 22651 Pelican Hill Road South, Newport Coast.
