Stars clip Wings

Blake Kelly scored three goals as the Stars slipped past the Wings

6-5 in a Patrick Division match at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center

in Huntington Beach.

Kyle Kelly also scored two goals, and Matt Gattis and Eric Freese

each had an assist. Timothy Francis came up with 21 saves for the

Stars.

Matty Nolan scored three times for the Wings, and Bradley Grote

scored twice. Aaron Fulmer picked up two assists, and Matthew Duran

had 25 saves.

In other Patrick Division matches:

Timberwolves 8, Kings 4

Blake Easton and Eric Lyon tied for game-high scoring honors with

three goals apiece as the Timberwolves doubled up on the Kings.

Michael Thistle scored once with two assists, and Jacob Gordon

scored a goal for the winners. Tip Donaldson picked up a pair of

assists, and Brooke Easton and Darla Roseberry each had an assist.

Kyle Morrill finished with 20 saves for the Timberwolves.

Neil Patel scored twice to lead the Kings, who also received a

goal and an assist from Brett Shaver, a goal by Nathaniel Jones and

two assists from Nicholas Weldon. Corey DeMatteo recorded 21 saves in

goal.

Hawks 7, HB Vipers 4

Justin Novakovich had a goal and an assist to lead the HB Vipers

in defeat.
