Amanda Loveless, 4, left, and her sister, Emma, 5, take a rest in the

line outside Mon Amie Bridal Salon in Costa Mesa Aug. 15. The two

were there with their friend Amanda Keller of Irvine, who was one of

100 military brides-to-be to receive a free wedding dress. Keller

will marry Troy Mosley of the U.S. Army.

Although Kent Treptow’s photo does not completely tell the story

of the dress giveaway, it does add to the coverage. It gives us a

feeling of the excitement and happiness of the event that words and

photos of people trying on the dresses may not completely convey.
