Rink Raiders skate past Mighty Ducks

The Rink Raiders jumped out to a three-goal lead in the first period

and never trailed in posting a 6-3 Campbell Division victory over the

Mighty Ducks in play at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in

Huntington Beach.

Scott Webb’s three goals led a Rink Raiders attack that included

unassisted goals by Cody Sizemore, Landon Milhone and Andrew Haley.

Madison Clark got the win on 12 saves.

Christopher Kao scored three goals and had an assist to lead the

Mighty Ducks. Paul Studer had 17 saves.

In other Campbell Division matches:

Dyno-Mites 4, Red Rhinos 2

Travis Williams scored a pair of third period goals -- one off an

assist by Maxwell Votaw -- to break a tie and send the Dyno-Mites to

victory.

Williams scored three goals, overall, and Votaw had the other

Dyno-Mites goal. Jason Austin recorded 16 saves for the win.

Aron Wong and Niley Smith scored unassisted goals for the Red

Rhinos and Tori Gianformaggio had 18 saves.

Bullfrogs 4, Hot Shots 3

The Bullfrogs scored four goals over the final two periods to

overcome a 2-0 deficit for the win.

Nick Hoskins led the Bullfrogs in scoring with two goals and

Matthew Boyer and Patrick Baikie each scored once. Alexander McCabe

had 19 saves.

The Hot Shots top scorer wasJack Koulos, with two goals. David

Wellander scored once and Emmett Jaeger had 16 saves.

Rink Rats 7, Wings 3

Ian Bast scored twice, Alex Buyan scored once, Ryan Harris had an

assist and Jake Grothjan finished with 17 saves for the Wings.

Red Rhinos 3, Hot Shots 2

Trent Morsk, Aron Wong and Chad Sasaki all scored and Tori

Gianformaggio had 18 saves for the Red Rhinos.

The Hot Shots’ scoring came from David Ramos and Evelyn Weaver.

David Wellander had an assist and Emmett Jaeger recorded 17 saves in

goal.
