SURF CULTURE REDUX

The Laguna Art Museum will present a reconfigured exhibit of the

most well attended show in the museum’s history, “Surf Culture -- The

Art History of Surfing.” The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m. to

6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and

Saturday through Oct. 2 at the Laguna Art Museum, 307 Cliff Drive.

PAGEANT OF THE MASTERS

The theme for this year’s production is “Portrait of the Artist,”

and the show will continue the tradition of showing live models

re-creating famous masterpieces. This show event will feature live

orchestral music and narration. Pageant performances will be held at

8:30 p.m. at the Festival of Arts grounds, 650 Laguna Canyon Road.

Visitors will be offered the opportunity to view and acquire art

directly from the artist exhibitors, finalists of a national juried

exhibition. The Art-A-Fair is open daily through Sept 5. The show is

open on Sundays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on

Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The show is at 777

SAWDUST FESTIVAL

More than 175 artists will show their creations in the 38th annual

Sawdust Festival. The festival is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily

through Sept. 5. The Sawdust Festival is located at 935 Laguna Canyon

Road. Admission costs $6.50 for adults and $2 for children.

FOREVER PLAID

The Plaids will perform hit songs from the 1950s in a show that

will feature “outlandish choreography” and “over-zealous precision.”

The show will be performed through Aug. 29 at the Laguna Playhouse,

A TASTE OF WINE

Wine tasting takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. every Friday at Len’s
