Fashion show to aid treatment facility

New Directions for Women, in conjunction with Recycled Rags of

Corona del Mar, will present Design of a Decade, a fashion show to

benefit programs in New Directions, a nonprofit residential treatment

facility for women with alcohol or drug addictions.

The event will take place at noon on Tuesday at the Five Crowns

Restaurant, 3801 E. Coast Highway in Corona del Mar.

Big boats and yachts

set to sail into Lido

The Lido Yacht Show, featuring upscale big boats and yachts, gear,

equipment and services for owners of large vessels, is coming to

Newport Beach.

The four-day show begins on Sept. 30 at the Lido Marina Village,

at the corner of Lido Way and Newport Boulevard.

The event will showcase luxurious multimillion-dollar yachts from

American and foreign manufacturers, including next year’s models.

Hours are noon to 7 p.m. Sept. 30; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 1 and 2;

and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 3.

Tickets are $10 for adults. Admission is free for children 12 and
