Costa Mesa’s Lynn Bachman was among six toll attendants honored

Thursday for outstanding and friendly service toward commuters on

Orange County’s toll roads. The awards were given as part of Toll

Attendant Appreciation Day, which honored employees who work on the

73, 241, 261 and 133 toll roads ... Laura H. Webb, daughter of Hubert

Webb and Janet Hadley of Newport Beach, has enrolled at Colby College

in Waterville, Maine, for the fall semester. She recently

participated in an orientation to introduce her to Colby’s academics

and culture ... Oscar Guzman, banquets manager at the Holiday Inn

Costa Mesa, was awarded the 2004 “Excellence in Lodging” Award for

his “outstanding performance as a staff person.” The California

Lodging Industry Assn. honored Guzman during the Western Lodging Show

& Conference in Sacramento over the weekend. Guzman manages a staff

of 30 employees and coordinates more than $1 million in annual

events.
