Homeowners group hosts fundraiser today

The Mesa del Mar Homeowners Assn. is hosting its annual luau at

TeWinkle Park today from 3 to 7 p.m.

The event includes Hawaiian entertainment and music, a luau buffet

for $5, island games for children, a silent auction and a raffle.

Funds raised will benefit the association’s community programs and

Sonora Elementary School projects.

Visit adobe in Estancia Park during open house

The Diego Sepulveda Adobe in Estancia Park is hosting an open

house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the adobe, 1900 Adams Ave. in

Estancia Park.

Paul Apodaca, a professor of American Studies at Chapman

University, will speak on “The Story of Zorro and History.” There

will also be tours of the adobe, exhibits featuring California

Indians and mid-19th century artifacts from the Bowers Museum.
