What would Bush or Kerry do?

We encourage everyone who hasn’t already checked out the Passion of

Bush website to get on the Internet and give it a look. (It’s at

thepassionofbush.com, by the way.) Some of you have been there, since

we recognized a few names on the page’s message board.

The website, the brainchild of Costa Mesa resident Steve Gooden,

tallies up which presidential contender, President George Bush or

Sen. John Kerry, is more like Jesus Christ. Now that’s an Internet

niche!

Our favorite part of the website? The running tally on who’s most

like Jesus, laid out by percents. When we visited, Kerry was polling

at 34% like Jesus for categories that include “Do not encourage

lust,” “Pro family,” “Pay taxes” and “Do not be drunkards.” Bush was

doing better, at 85%.

But that’s not why it’s our favorite part. Jesus, thankfully, was

running at 100% in keeping with his own beliefs. No waffling there,

which means he might not have made a great politician.
