The Estancia High girls golf team remained unbeaten against Golden

West League competition, topping host Orange Monday at River View

Golf Club in Santa Ana.

Lina You earned medalist honors for the Eagles (3-1, 3-0 in

league), shooting 7-over-par 41.

Bridget Gleason (44), Lauren Cushing (50), Taylor West (52) and

Lauren Donner (55) rounded out the scoring for Estancia.

UCI defeated by Cal

* SOCCER: The UC Irvine men’s soccer team lost, 2-1, to No.

7-ranked Cal at the Titan Classic, Sunday in Fullerton.

The Golden Bears (6-0-0) scored first in the 70th minute, but UCI

pulled even 41 seconds later when sophomore Brad Evans scored his

second goal of the season with an assist from sophomore Brandon

Tario.

The game-winner came on a penalty kick in the 72nd minute.

Junior Chris Klotz and Evans represented the Anteaters on the

All-Tournament team.
