The Orange County Ad Club, a Costa Mesa-based organization of

advertising professionals, has announced its 2004-05 executive board.

Dominic Symes is president, Diana Marshall is immediate past

president and ad awards chair, Ian Crockett is vice president,

Melinda Mullis is secretary, and Sue Montuori is treasurer. Marshall

and Mullis are Newport Beach residents ... The Point Foundation

awarded UC Irvine student Matthew Cardinale a five-year, $40,000

scholarship. The awards were given to 25 gay, lesbian, bisexual and

transgender students nationwide. Cardinale, once homeless, said he

intends to study democracy with a focus on homelessness ... Cate

Stockstill, a 2000 Corona del Mar High School alumnus, graduated

magna cum laude from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a double major in

accounting and finance. She has joined the accounting firm of

Deloitte & Touche in Costa Mesa. Her sister, 1998 Corona del Mar grad

Libby Stockstill, has been named to the University of Notre Dame

dean’s honor list after her second year in law school.
