Dolphins roll past Packers

Riding a stingy defense and a three-touchdown performance by Wade

Houston, the Huntington Beach Dolphins rolled past the South Bay

Packers, 36-0, in a Jr. All-American Football game at Huntington

Beach High.

It was the league opener for both teams.

Houston’s 14-yard run that shifted from the middle to the outside

resulted in the Dolphins’ first score. Houston went on to add scoring

runs of two and 35 yards.

The Dolphins’ rushing attack also included a touchdown by Jeremiah

Pemasa on a 35-yard romp and Tyler Steen’s five-yard touchdown run.

Huntington’s defense was powered by John Bowles, Kristopher

Bonham, Chris Fiscus, Ryan Martinazzi, Eric Morejon, Adam Navarro,

Cody Pieplow, Robert Quick, Zachary Swan, A.J. Trentini, and Gregory

Holler.

The Dolphins travel to Norwalk-Santa Fe Springs to take on the

Saints in a 7 p.m. kickoff Saturday.

Dolphins 16, Chiefs 0

The Huntington Beach Dolphins got their first shutout of the

season by defeating the Orange Chiefs at Hart Park in Orange.

The Dolphins’ defense was led by Jeremiah Pemasa, Chris Fiscus,

Eric Morejon and A.J. Trentini and Kyle Walker.

Wade Houston scored on a 33-yard run and had a pair of two-point

conversions. Dontaie Furguson, who leaped over a Chiefs defender,

hauled in a 35-yard touchdown pass from Zack Couey.

Mitey Mite Chargers fall to Cypress

The Huntington Beach Mitey Mite Chargers came up short in their

latest outing against Cypress, which rolled to a 30-0 victory in

Mitey Mite Division play.
