Chargers still third in football poll

Coming off a third consecutive impressive victory, the Edison High

football team continues to hold down the No. 3 slot in the latest

CIF-Southern Section Division I poll.

The Chargers were third a week ago, ranked behind No. 1 Long Beach

Poly and No. 2 Loyola.

Edison also had four other fall sports teams grace the various top

10 polls.

In girls’ volleyball, Edison was ranked third, a spot ahead of

neighboring Huntington Beach, in the Division II-AA poll.

In boys’ water polo, Edison was ranked sixth in Division II, two

places behind Marina.

In the girls’ cross country Division II poll, Edison came in at

No. 7, and in the boys’ Division II rankings, the Chargers were

eighth.
