Kretos scores four in 7-1 victory

Emily Kretos scored four goals in Sunkissed’s, 7-1, victory over the

Pink Panthers in AYSO Region 57 girls under 10 action. Katherine Noe

and Olivia Peterson also scored goals for Sunkissed, with assists

coming from Peterson, Natasha Fisker and Sara Machoskie. Alexa Losey

and Jamie Kingkade played solid defense, and Noe and Marit Vangrow

were stingy goaltenders.

Kiani leads Waves

* Eli Kiani had a hat trick to lead the AYSO Region 57 boys under

10 Tidal Waves to a season opening, 4-3, victory over the Patriots.

Shane Silver started the game with a goal for the Tidal Waves and

Coach Roy Aresh named defensive star Jonathan Mayer the Most Valuable

Player.

The two teams met one week later, this tie with the Patriots the

victors, 5-2. Areya Aresh scored in the first 30 seconds to give the

Waves an early lead, but the Patriots proved too much in the rematch.

Timmy Strader scored the second Waves goal, nad Coach Aresh named

goaltender Kevin Thomsen MVP for his incredible saves in the game.

Blue Titans win

* The Blue Titans scored three unanswered goals in the fourth

quarter to defeat the Corona del Mar Reds, 6-3, in AYSO Region 57

boys under 14 play. Eric Hansen, Ori Tabak and Camden Nicholson

scored goals for the Titans. Michael Merline, Connor Gaughan, Kevin

Wang and David Broekelschen provided defensive support for goalie

Brad Jones. Also contributing to the Titans’ victory were Anthony

Francisco, Andrew Iverson, Zack Martin and Aria Mohammadi.
