The senior came up with two big defensive stands in the second

half. He first blocked a punt in the third quarter, which was

recovered by teammate Bill Colazas in the end zone and gave the

Chargers a 29-0 lead on the top-ranked team in CIF-Southern Section

Division VII. Later in the game, his interception thwarted a

last-ditch scoring effort by the Chiefs in Edison territory.
