The Corona del Mar High girls junior varsity golf team defeated

Tesoro, 246-249, Tuesday at the Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club.

Sea Kings’ Kelly Kawata and Bree Russell both shot 47 to share

medalist honors.

CdM’s Jessica Milner (48), Michelle Mabanta (49) and Katherine

Hanson (55) also scored.

CdM defeated Laguna Beach, 235-268, Thursday. Russell (43), Kawata

(44), Milner (48), Hanson (48) and Mabanta (52) led the Sea Kings

(7-3, 2-1 in league).

Boys water polo

Junior varsity

Sam Edmund and Nick Fisk each scored three goals to help Costa

Mesa High earn a 10-4 nonleague boys junior varsity water polo win

over Los Amigos Thursday.

Frosh/soph

The Corona del Mar High boys frosh/soph water polo team got a n

11-3 Pacific Coast League win over Northwood Wednesday.

R.J. Baldoni lead and Ryan Hultman lead the scoring with three

goals apiece, while Nick Jones and Omar Mobarek added two apiece.

* The Corona del Mar High boys lost, 9-7, in overtime Thursday to

El Toro.

Mike Berry, Hultman and Jones each scored twice, while Ryan Kent

and Jeff Lee added single goals.

Frosh/soph

The Newport Harbor High girls frosh/soph team defeated Laguna

Hills, 25-21, 25-16.

Freshman Katie Regan had seven service aces and four kills, while

freshman Parisa Crane had three service aces and two kills.

Danny Fitzsimons added five digs and Kelly De Young had one

service ace to accompany his four digs.
