Tori, Erika and Hero
Tori is a torti tabby with glints of golden-orange fur, Erika is a
beautiful tabby girl, and their brother is all black and their Hero
because he saved their lives with a loud cry. Peter and Susan Reasin
of Costa Mesa found the three starving, tiny bottle-feeders held
captive and alone in the backyard shed.
The Reasin family -- parents and children Brenton, 12, Christian,
11, and even Devon, who is 3 -- participated in bottle-feeding around
the clock to save the lives of the weeks-old kittens. The three
kittens will be 7 weeks old and are available for pre-adoption
between 3 and 4 p.m. on Saturday. During this time, they will be
microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and weighed to schedule their spay
and neuter appointment, along with blood testing for feline leukemia
and feline AIDS before going to their new homes.
VOLUNTEER HELP
Opportunities are available to help on weekends, teaching
“Pet-Parenting” classes and promoting adoptions by helping people
make the right pet match. Like almost all local animal rescue
organizations, Community Animal Network needs more people to get
involved.
RESCUE NOTES
Your help is still needed to place the leukemia cat family into
homes. No one is symptomatic. Please come forward and support our
mission.
