FORUM

No endorsements

In the past, the Independent has endorsed candidates for both the

City Council and school boards. This year, the paper will not be

offering endorsements because the Editorial Board felt there was not

enough time to debate the merits of the many candidates. We take

endorsements seriously and did not want to rush to any judgments. We

do encourage all readers to vote on Tuesday or by absentee ballot.
