Junior Tennis series event begins Sunday

The Laguna Beach Junior Tennis Challenger Series will hold its

second day of competition Sunday at Alta Laguna Park.

The tournament will feature 2 1/2 hours of singles round-robin

play, novice and advanced sections and is open to boys and girls ages

10 and under.

The series will wrap up with its final tournament on Nov. 21.

Basketball league set to return

Registration for kindergarten through eighth grade is now in

progress for the boys basketball league at the Boys and Girls club of

Laguna Beach.

Practices begin in November and the regular season starts in

December following the completion of the AYSO soccer season.

All participants must be members of the Boys and Girls Club of

Laguna Beach. Membership fee is $125 per year.

League fee is $75 per player.
