1) I bring an independent point of view with extensive experience, an

analytical approach and a history of being well prepared for

meetings. I pledge to listen to all, favor none and continue to have

the courage to express my opinions and reasons for my votes.

2) A. Build a Village Entrance parking structure that

incorporates a state-of-the-art City Yard facility. This project

includes a park adjacent to Laguna Canyon Road, traffic and

pedestrian improvements and preservation of the Act V, 430 space

parking lot and its tram service.

B. Achieve greater water quality in our creeks and ocean waters.

Ensure that the city remains committed to zero sewer spills,

implements the Sewer System Improvement Plan and does everything

practical to guarantee that our beaches are free from polluted runoff

water.

C. Revise the Design Review Ordinance to reflect the standards of

the community versus the false expectations it gives to property

owners.

D. Institute financial reporting in City Hall that is

understandable by all, not just CPAs.

3) Improved parking and circulation go hand in hand. To improve

traffic and pedestrian circulation, a Village Entrance parking

structure must be built with 420 parking spaces. A garage with 900

spaces would cause extreme congestion. The Act V parking lot and its

tram service must be maintained.

4) The decision that three members made, not including myself, not

to proceed with annexation of Act V.

5) Rental units should not be permitted to be converted to condos

in multi-residential zones.
