William Franklin Walpin

William Franklin Walpin of Laguna Beach died Oct. 29 at South

Coast Medical Center. He was 79.

Mr. Walpin was a retired carpenter and a member of Local No. 33.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a boatswains mate from 1941 to 45.

Mr. Walpin is survived by his wife, Pauline; son Mark of Laguna

Beach; daughter Alison Williams of Aliso Viejo; his sister Lee; and

one grandchild.

Interment will be at the Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point

Loma, San Diego. Memorials or condolences may be sent to the family

in care of McCormick and Son Mortuary in Laguna Beach.
