CAPPELLA CANTORUM

Cappella Cantorum, the young adult choir of St. John Vianney

Chapel, is beginning its fifth year. The choir is open to students in

grades six through 12. It provides active faith participation for

teens during their high school years. Participation includes singing

at mass regularly and at special events. Rehearsals are from 11 a.m.

to 1 p.m. Saturdays in the Chapel at 314 Marine Ave., Balboa Island.

‘GODSPELL’

“Godspell” will be presented by the Winged Lion Players at St.

Mark Presbyterian Church on Friday Oct. 16 and 17. Based on the book

of St. Matthew, “Godspell” was conceived and originally directed by

John-Michael Tebelak, with music and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.

St. Mark Presbyterian Church is at 2100 Mar Vista Drive in Newport

WORKSHOPS

INTRODUCTION TO ZEN WORKSHOP

An “Introduction to Zen” workshop will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on

the first Sunday of every month Sunday and Dec. 4 at the Zen Center

of Orange County, 120 E. 18th St., Costa Mesa. The cost is $60.

BAHAI FIRESIDES

Members of the Bahai faith hold informal public discussions on

spiritual topics at 11:30 a.m. the last Sunday of the month. The

talks include brunch or dinner. Also, interfaith devotional meetings

will be held the last Saturday evening of the month. Call for

The Zen Center of Orange County offers an introduction to Zen
