CdM, Sage split flips

The Corona del Mar High girls tennis team, seeded No. 3 in CIF

Southern Section Division I, lost a coin flip Sunday and will travel

to Harvard-Westlake for Tuesday’s quarterfinal match, scheduled to

begin at 2 p.m.

CdM (17-3) defeated Mission Viejo Saturday, 13-5.

The Sage Hill girls volleyball team won its flip and will play

host to top-seeded Western Christian in a CIF Division IV-A semifinal

Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The Lightning improved to 17-6 with a five-game victory Saturday.

These two contests are merely a portion of a busy Tuesday for

Newport-Mesa teams competing in the Southern Section playoffs.
