‘CONSTANT STAR’

Five actresses will portray Ida B. Wells, a journalist and civil

rights activist who organized the first anti-lynching campaign in the

United States. The performance will feature 20 songs sung A Capella

in five-part harmony. The musical will run through Dec. 5 at the

GALLIMAUFRY OPERA

March of the Falsettos, a comic operetta, will be presented by

Gallimaufry Performing Arts at 8 p.m. at the Forum Theatre on the

The Laguna College of Art and Design will present an Animation

A TASTE OF WINE

HORTENSE MILLER GARDEN

The Friends of the Hortense Miller Garden will be selling

paperwhite and Amaryllis bulbs to benefit maintenance of the Hortense

Miller Garden from 8 a.m. to noon at the Farmers Market, lumberyard

parking lot, Forest Avenue. The Hortense Miller Garden is a natural

garden on the edge of Boat Canyon, open to the public for free tours

Tuesday through Saturday. Selected plants, pots and garden

accessories will also be available for sale.

WINTER FESTIVAL

The Sawdust Art Festival, a holiday art and crafts festival

featuring More than 170 artists will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

at the Sawdust Festival grounds, 935 Laguna Canyon Road. The event

will feature hands-on activities and seasonal entertainment such as

Santa, a real snowfield and a tree lighting ceremony at 5 p.m.

Tickets are $4.50 for adults, and $2 for children. The festival also

STAGE DOOR

The Laguna Beach High School will perform “Stage Door,” a play by

Edna Ferber and George S. Kaufman, at the Laguna Beach High School
