Noteworthy: Won the 50-59 age flight championship in Santa Ana’s

senior championship after four rounds of match play. Needed two extra

holes to win his semifinal match, 1 up. Finished third with 16 points

in an 18-hole match against three other age division winners on Nov.

13 ... Worked for a wholesale lumber company before retiring ... Has

a hole-in-one and a “hole-in-three” on the Santa Ana’s par-3 11th.

Holed his third shot after the tee shot landed in the pond fronting

the green. The ball spun back and dropped in the hole. ... Been a

member at Santa Ana for 12 years.
