League leaders maintain standing
With just two games left on the regular season schedule, Courtesy
Auto Body of Tuesday League play and the South Laguna Hamstrings of
the Thursday League continue to hold one-game leads over their
respective rivals.
The city’s fall 16” slow pitch softball program plays its games at
Riddle Field.
Tuesday League
Courtesy Auto Body 14, Good, Bad & Ugly 2
Four Courtesy Auto Body batters hit home runs in this one-sided
victory.
Sheldon Kalash led the way with three homers -- which drove in
five runs, Matt Kuerra homered twice and singled and Paul Corey and
Jeff Pich each homered.
Pich also notched the pitching win, limiting Good, Bad & Ugly to
just three hits.
Robert Stewart led Good, Bad & Ugly with a home run and single.
Team Viagra 8, Ganahl Lumber 3
Three proved to be the lucky number for Team Viagra’s Nate
Pivaroff who homered, doubled, singled and drove in three runs in
three at-bats, and also scored three runs.
Keith Mulvaney had a three-run home run for the winners, who
reside in second-place.
Robert Bonn hit a home run and singled twice to pace Ganahl
Lumber.
Sandpiper 13, C-Dawgs 2
Mike McLean drove in seven runs behind three home runs and a
single and Jeff Heminghaus doubled twice and singled three times top
power Sandpiper.
Chris Howell held the C-Dawgs to six singles and a double, the
latter by Aaron Brower.

Thursday League
Hamstrings 1, Arborists 1
Both teams scored only in the first inning as the game ended in a
tie.
Solo home runs by the Hamstrings’ Clayton Snyder and the
Arborists’ Johnson accounted for the game’s lone runs.
Hamstrings 7, Compound Fractures 6
Just 24 hours after playing the Arborists to a tie, the Hamstrings
came back to edge the Compound Fractures.
Mark Christy brought in three runs with a third inning home run
while James Wood came up with a pair of doubles and Alex Carter hit a
first inning home run.
Russ Swarts racked up four RBIs on two home runs and Eric Johnson
singled three times for the Compound Fractures.
Llamas 7, Arborists 5
Trigg Garner brought home four runs with a home run and sacrifice
fly and Jonathan Cohen lined out there singles as the Llamas’ upset
win knocked the Arborists out of a first-place tie with the
Hamstrings.
Marco Johnson hit two homers and A.J. Voto singled once for the
Arborists.
Llamas 14, Puswatrkylegs 9
Jonathan Cohen continued his hot hitting streak with a grand slam
and a two-RBI single as the Llamas won their second straight game.
Paul Wolsey homered, doubled twice and singled with three RBIs for
the Llamas.
Puswatrkylegs leadoff hitter Tyler Reynard tripled, doubled and
had four RBIs, Leif Francis doubled twice and singled, Ethan Damato
homered and singled twice and Kyle Johnson doubled and singled twice.
Compound Fractures 5, Arbitech 4
Alex Carter doubled and singled twice and Jason Steris doubled and
singled for the Compound Fractures.
Arbitech 16, Puswatrkylegs 10
Ryan Neptune and Todd Locurcio each drove in four runs as Arbitech
won its first game of the league season.
Neptune recorded a home run, double and single and Locurcio
homered and singled.
John Reynard led the Puswatrkylegs with a three-run home run and
RBI single.
