Newport needs prep help for centennial

The city of Newport Beach is revving up its preparatory engines

for its 100-year celebration as a city in 2006 by putting out a call

for volunteers to assist with planned events.

Volunteers can choose to help with one of 10 committees:

fundraising/sponsorship, community outreach, events, Newport-Mesa

Unified School District activities, community alliance, heritage,

volunteer coordination, Rose Parade float, finance or marketing and

public relations.

For more information, contact Recreation and Senior Services

administrative assistant Teri Craig at (949) 644-3158 or visit the 2006 City Centennial website at https://www.newportbeach100.com.
