New fairgrounds building proposed

The Board of Directors of the Orange County Fair & Exposition

Center is planning for a new exhibit building to replace the existing

Youth Building (Building 17).

The proposed two-story building (Building 18) will have a

flexible, multi-use exhibit space and an industrial-scale kitchen on

the ground floor. The kitchen will provide a food and beverage

service, including catering for all activities and events at the

fairgrounds. Architects are considering a second floor in the new

building for administrative offices and meeting-room space.

The existing Youth Building will be disassembled and possibly used

elsewhere on the fairgrounds.
