OCTA seeks candidate for public seat
The Orange County Transit Authority is accepting applications for
one of the two public seats on its board of directors. Public members
constitute two of the 17 voting members for the transportation
authority board of directors. Members are responsible for attending
Monday meetings every second and fourth Monday of the month, and
various committee meetings. Applicants must be Orange County
residents, who are not currently serving or have served within the
past four years as an elected city official, county or agency. The
term is limited to four years. Applications will be reviewed by the
board and a decision is expected in January.
Street Sweeping changes on holidays
There will be no change in the refuse schedule this week or next
in Newport Beach. However, there will be no street sweeping Friday or
Dec. 31.
