Laguna Art Museum is exhibiting “The OsCene: Contemporary Art and

Culture in OC,” “Jody Zellen: Other Places,” “The Many Faces of Roger

Armstrong” and “Surf Culture Redux” through Feb. 27.

“The OsCene: Contemporary Art and Culture in Orange County,”

exhibit involves diverse media including painting, drawing,

sculpture, photography, multi-media, video/film. Sound/music,

architecture and tattoo art.

Laguna Art Museum’s “Talk of the Town Lecture” series will be at 1

p.m. Sunday, featuring artist Jody Zellen. The artist will discuss

her site-specific installation at the Museum, “Other Places,” and

past work. Admission is free.

As part of the “OsCene” film screenings, “Farther Than the Eye Can

See,” an award-winning feature documentary by Michael Brown and Josh

Colover about a blind hiker’s quest to climb Mount Everest will be

shown at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The short documentary “Adored in Languages

I Don’t Understand,” by Laguna filmmaker Jon Beau Lee will also be

shown.

Filmmakers will be present. Screenings are $7 and $5 for museum
