Magic pulls one out
In a hard-fought game that went to the final horn, the Magic was able
to hold off Team Six for a 29-23 victory in Pacific Coast Hoops
Division 3 boys’ basketball action.
Jeremy Martinez and A.J. Garrity led the Magic by scoring 12 and
10 points, respectively.
Michael Kibler, Nathan Madden and Michael Meagher scored two
points and Shad Harris rounded out the scoring with a single point.
Sebastian DeMartini led the Magic on defense.
Thomas Wadsworth of Team Six scored a game-high 16 points.
Parker Brauerman scored four points and Jacob Lesinski closed out
Team Six’s scoring with three points.

HB Breakers ends season undefeated
The HB Breakers, a girls’ under-12 Division Plus team out of
Region 143, capped its season with a 13-0-1 record.
The Breakers not only won their region championships, but also
claimed an Area title and won its division title at the Turkey
Tournament hosted by Region 56.
The Breakers, coached by Jim Holden and Jeff Thompson, outscored
the opposition by a whopping, 72-4.
Team scoring was led by Samantha Thompson, Alexis Delulio, Jessica
Fisher and Kristen Struett.
Breaker midfielders included Helen Liggett, Christina Caruso and
Meghan Belchere, defenders were Shauna Salcido, Erika Holden, Emmy
Richards, Jillian Holland and Nicole Chittum and playing in goal were
Julia Robinson and Kelli McLin.
