Ice Dogs hold on for 6-5 victory

In a close game that went to down to the final buzzer, the Ice Dogs

held off the Pipefitters, 6-5, for a Smythe Division victory at Coast

2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

The Ice Dogs led, 4-2, after one period, and took a 5-3 lead into

the final period.

Connor Lipscomb and Patrick Lipscomb each scored a pair of goals

to lead the victors, followed by Chase Lipscomb and Philip Pascarelli

with one goal apiece.

In the assists department, Chase Lipscomb and Dylan Moan each had

two and Patrick Lipscomb and Logan Favilla each had one.

Kenneth Nguyen finished with 16 saves.

Phillip Berman and Jason Lally each scored twice and Alec

Vanhoogenstyn scored once for the Pipelifters.

Lally and Conner Whitcomb each had an assist and Brad Murchison

had 23 saves.

In other Smythe Division action:

Renegades 4, Panthers 2

The Renegades outscored the Panthers, 3-0, in the final period, to

rally to victory.

Brandon White scored twice and Paul Ishizaki once during that 3-0

run, and Jake Beideman scored the Renegades’ first goal.

Kevin Romano had two assists and Matt Jurado had one, while Brad

Giezewski had 17 saves.

For the Panthers, Aaron Baca-Chavez and Eric Sakaida each scored

once, John Churilla had an assist and Matt Korn finished with 18

saves.

TR 2 7, Puckhogs 2

TR 2 scores three times in the first and last periods to run past

the Puckhogs.

A productive TR 2 offensive attack saw Christopher Boyd finish

with two goals and two assists, Matthew Bennett score twice with an

assist, Austin Gearty get a goal and assist, Sam Prizler and Matthew

Ostovarpour each score once and Noah Charnell get an assist.

Tori Gianformaggio had 24 saves.
