Rockets are streaking

The Eastlbuff Boys and Girls Club fourth-grade Rockets coed

basketball team earned its third straight victory, defeating the

Kings, 24-18.

Jason Cowan led the Rockets, as he nailed a couple of key shots in

the fourth quarter, while Grant Brown, Jeff Lloyd, Carter Keddinton

and Rob Rosenast also contributed.

Amanda Girvin, Weston Wright and Colby Watson led the defense.

* Knicks 28, Celtics 20

The Kicks defeated the previously undefeated Celtics, 28-20, with

Ryan Griffin leading the way with 12 points.

Griffen’s sister, Shannon, and cousin, Charlie, both added six.

The Celtics were led by Drew Olson and Blake Motol.

* Cavaliers 29, Mavericks 20

The Cavaliers defeated the Mavericks, 29-20, in a defensive battle

that was tied at the half. Reid Meckler was the scoring leader for

the Cavaliers, while Jeff Garrett drilled a key three-point basket.

Troy Reese, Hunter Heckedorn and Tyler McPhillips led the

Mavericks.
