El Morro Elementary School news

El Morro Elementary School principal Chris Duddy wanted to give

the community an update about school news.

For Tsunami relief efforts, the Student Council has been selling

pencils, folders and hot chocolate to benefit the UNICEF Kids Helping

Kids program. Students have also been collecting donations from staff

and parents.

“Because of our community’s overwhelming generosity, we will be

sending a check for $1,682 to UNICEF to help the victims of this

devastating natural disaster,” Duddy said.

Because of the recent heavy rains Duddy wanted to reiterate some

procedures. The blacktop is for drop-off only; there is no parking on

the blacktop. When it is raining or too wet outside, students will

wait inside the Multi-Purpose Room to be picked up. Students riding

the bus will line up under the covered patio and board the bus as

usual.

All lost and found items not picked up by Jan. 31 will be donated

to the Salvation Army.
