Corona del Mar soccer squad wins pair against Newport, Tustin

The AYSO Area 11 boys under-14 Corona del Mar all-star soccer team

defeated Newport Beach, 5-1, and Tustin, 3-2.

Against Newport, Camden Nicholson and Kevin Wang scored two goals

apiece, while Ori Tabak added one of his own. Corona del Mar’s

defense was led by Kenny Cooper, James Petrillit, Karl Fletcher, Alex

Mainthow, Scotty Berkhausen and Brad Jones.

In the victory against Tustin, Nicholson score two more goals,

while Evan McNerney added another. Eric Hansen stepped up on defense,

while the midfield play of Colin Gray, Karl Fletcher, Joey Cooper,

Andrew Iverson and McNerney helped in CdM’s effort.
